Caitlyn and Andrew’s Reunion Resort wedding
Caitlin and Andrew choose the Reunion Resort for their wedding. They loved how inclusive the resort was and how many different locations it offered to do photos.
Plus from the 11th floor you can see Disney and watch Magic Kingdom fireworks at night!
We started with Caitlin who was getting ready in a villa just across from the resort. We took advantage of the 2 floors and the stairway to hang her dress from Lily’s Bridal and get details of her shoes. We just loved the tribute to Toy Story on the bottom of her shoes. We also captured some great candid photos while the About face design team worked their magic.
Once we were done there we headed back over to the resort where we meet up with the guys who were hanging out in the honeymoon suite. They hadn’t quite finished their pizza and beer but were happy to start getting dressed so we could capture their portraits before the ceremony. Once they were dressed we headed to the balcony and up to the pool deck for amazing views and awesome photos.
We let the guys relax a bit more while we headed back to set up a first look with Caitlin and her Dad. She wrote him a note and asked for him to read it as she walked up behind him, it was a very beautiful moment. But we were not done with first looks yet. The resort brought over a car and transported Caitlin to the resort where we had Andrew waiting to see her for the first time on their wedding day.
We set up the first look in the lobby in front of the large fireplace. It’s a beautiful area and I love how you can use the large coffee table to create a reflection of the couple. Once the couple saw each other and had a moment to themselves we used the additional time before guests arrived to capture some stunning portraits of the soon to be newly-weds.
Due to weather they decided to move the ceremony indoors. Reunions staff was prepared and moved quickly to create a beautiful space in the convention hall with thanks to Soundwave for some great uplighting (also check out the awesome monogram they provided for the reception). The ceremony was perfect and the couple shared vow’s and said I do.
With the weather not fully cooperating we used the first half of the cocktail hour to get photos of the couple indoors. They say it’s lucky if it rains on your wedding day and we were lucky cause the rain cleared up in enough time for us to get outside for a few photos before the reception started. Of course we headed strait to the 11th floor to take advantage of the view.
Thankfully the rain cleared out completely and the couples reception outside in the enclosed tent went perfectly. I love how this space has nothing but windows all the way around, it really allows you to enjoy the view while staying cool in the A/C plus A Chair Affair did an incredible job decorating the room.
The couple shared a first dance, they danced with their parents, cut their cake from Cut the Cake, tossed the garter and her beautiful bouquet from Blugrass Chic and had a ton of fun dancing with their family and friends while Soundwave provided the music.
Before the night was over and the couple walked out to a sparkler exit we snuck them out to the 11 th floor one more time so they could relax and enjoy the Disney fireworks for the first time as husband and wife.
Congratulations Caitlin and Andrew, we wish you nothing but the best for your future!
Please enjoy this preview of your amazing wedding day!
