Sarah and Jayce’s Mission Inn Plaza de la Fontana Wedding
Sarah and Jayce chose The Mission Inn Plaza de la Fontana for their wedding. They loved the fact that the Spanish feel of the venue ties into the Spanish feel of St. Augustine where they were got engaged.
The grand courtyard is surrounded by European inspired architecture and blossoming gardens and features a majestic fountain centerpiece.
Before the wedding the fun started off over in the resort where the girls were getting ready in the bridal suite, this was a great space for all the detail shots of Sarah’s wedding dress and wedding day accessories from David’s Bridal. As well as photos of the bride getting her hair and makeup done by Alyssa Vergara, Jessenia Roboyo and Mayra Serrano.
Once we finished grabbing the detail photos and some fun candid’s of the bridal party as they got ready, we headed down to meet the guys. They had just gotten back from taking a boat out all morning. As they all got ready we grabbed photos of Jayce suiting up and some formal portraits. Then we took the whole grooms party out for some fun photos.
We finished with the guys and put everyone in their ready rooms while we set up an intimate first touch with Sarah and Jayce. It was so moving seeing how excited they were to be just moments away from walking down the isle together. After the first touch they took a few more minutes to relax before the ceremony began it was during this time they signed their Ketubah.
The ceremony was beautiful and perfect blue skies shone down upon the happy couple. I loved that they faced the ceremony towards the fountain, I think it makes a beautiful backdrop and I love seeing the water droplets frozen in time during the couples first kiss photos.
The photos we were able to capture during the cocktail hour were just perfect as it coordinated almost perfectly with the golden hour. Another great thing about the Mission Inn is that it offers such a unique and fun variety of locations.
The reception was inside La Hacienda. It was beautifully decorated with the couples wedding colors and flowers from Greenery Productions. I liked that they put the dance floor on the lower level of the room so that everyone had a good view of their first dance. They hired Bay Kings Band to keep the party going and people dancing all night!
After lots of dancing and a ton of laughs they cut one of the coolest cakes I have ever seen! If you want to be impressed give Rose Hill Cakes a call. As the night winded down to a close we took the couple out for a sparkler exit and a few quick night photos as the moon shone down on them for the first time as husband and wife.
Congratulations Sarah & Jayce, we wish you nothing but the best for your future! Please enjoy this preview of your amazing wedding day!
